Ernie's Christmas Wassail

Here's a link to Ernie's yummy Wassail recipe (or WA-ZOO, as Mary calls it, HAHA).

I know several people in SASSSC liked it as much as I did when they tasted it at Stamp Club.

I put it on my cooking blog...Here's the Link.

Thanks for sharing Ernie!

December SASSSC Party

SASSSC had a wonderful Christmas party this month. We ate at Lupe Tortillas and revealed our Secret Santas...had some margaritas and had a very SASSSC time.

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed our lunch together.

Here we are opening gifts from our Secret Santa's.

Mary got a cool springy santa hat from her Secret Santa. We thought it would be funny if we all tried it on.

SASSSC Reminder

SASSSC Ladies,

Please remember that we have a total of 12 members now. So please plan your monthly swaps accordingly. We definitely want everyone to be able to participate fully.

Our Christmas party on the Sunday 13th, is at 1:00 PM at Lupe Tortillas on the 45N Feeder Road. Please let Delia or Annie know if you need a full address or directions.

If you have not sent two $5 gifts to your secret santa by the end of next week, please be sure that you bring those gifts to our Christmas party, along with your $15 final Secret Santa gift and your 'faces' swap.

Updates to the assignment schedule will be altered in time for you to get ready for January's Club meeting. Please know that all assignments will be randomly chosen again to be fair to all.

I think that's it! See you all very soon!

Faux Wax Seal

1. Cut out the shape you want for your seal. Using a punch is easiest.

2. Use the negative of the cutout to cover the VersaMark pad. This will allow your pad to only have the shape you desire exposed.

3. Ink your cardstock by pressing onto the partially covered VersaMark.

4. Emboss shap with your desired metallic embossing powder 4 times. Copper embossing powder was used in this example.

5. Quickly stamp your image into the warm melted embossing medium. If you mess up at this point. You can re-melt your 'embossed puddle' and try again. If you re-melt, you might add one more layer of powder.

6. Use the punch to cut out your finished shape. This is best done while the medium is still slightly warm as well.

If you use this technique, let me know...send me a picture...and I'll post it here.

Here is a picture of the finished product...oops...before I cut it out the final time. You get the idea though.
