SASSSC's Mad Hatter Party - July 2010

First and foremost we need to thank the party committe for planning this wonderful event. A lot of thought and planning went into our trip. A special thanks goes out to Olga and her husband for housing us ALL. The townhome was unusable at the last minute and so we all stayed at her home. Olga, thank you for everything. A slumber party, convention and celebration with our SASSSC friends was just what we all needed! :)

...and a traditional picture of our group at the convention. We really missed those who didn't come.

We were up and ready to go early. Well, for the most part...check out this big human breakfast taco. HEHE.

We all wore our matching shirts and many of us carried our pink bags from last year.

Bringing SASSSC Back...we are definitely the most SASSY group that went to the convention.

1st thing in the morning we went to Stamp Asylum. It was great to see all the stuff they had for sale and all the beautiful samples. Here's a slide show with all the pictures that were taken there.

Next we went to the convention. There were wonderful new things to look at and some returning vendors that also had a lot to show. Here are pictures of the samples from the convention.

It seems some of the pictures didn't stay flipped. I tried twice but couldn't get them loaded correctly. I'm leaving as is...I hope that's ok. :)

Here's a couple more pictures from the convention.

After the convention, we headed out to lunch. Girls get HUNGRY walking around a big 'ol convention. Shopping is tiresome. :) I think ya'll would all agree that the place chosen for lunch was AWESOME. Cowboy theme, but Tex-Mex food. YUM! We took lots of fun pictures there. Here's another slide show of the lunch fun!

Last but not least...our Mad Hatter Party Pics! SO MUCH FUN!

Stampers Sampler

As a fun project, we decided to break into two groups and submit cards to Stampers Sampler for their "Point of View" section/article. In Point of View you make different cards utilizing one stamp. So half of us chose the Rose from Stampin Up's "Fifth Avenue Floral" set and the other half chose the Chef from Stampin Up's "Viola" set. For unforseen circumstance not everyone was able to participate, but below are the cards that we submitted to Stampers Sampler. Hopefully our submissions will be selected and published in an upcoming issue. We will let you know if we are selected and what issue we are in.

June 2010 SASSSC Meeting

In the June meeting Delia was unable to be at the meeting because she was in Grand Cayman with her husband. But she did leave us a message:

In addition to Delia, we missed Olga, Deb and Terry.

Delia was in charge of the Main dish and she passed this responsibity on to Mary...Mary made these wonderful Egg Muffin Breakfast Sandwiches, accompanied by banana bread (Laura) and mimosas (Thelma)...yum yum....Sorry no pics...I think they were to busy DRINKING and EATING to take them...lol.

Mary was in charge of the Make and Take. We all had this adorable giraffe box to make.

June Swaps - 3D anything but a card

For the month of June we decided that our swaps would be a 3D item and anything but a card. It was fun to see everyone's creativity and thinking "outside the - card".
