Scrap Ribbon Uses

Adriana did our technique this month. She showed us 2 new uses for ribbon.

The first is a great way to use up all your extra little peices. With this technique, you actually run your card or cardstock through your Zyron so that the entire surface is sticky and then you adhere all your ribbon pieces and just trim off the extra. She said that she would probably like to find some fray-ease or use some Crystal Effects next time to keep the ribbon from fraying.

Here's a picture of her scrap ribbon card

Here's a picture of the scrap ribbon card from her magazine. It almost appears that they used pinking shears to trim the ribbon at the bottom, what a cute idea.

Here's a picture of a Christmas card that Adriana made for our December 09 Swap using this technique. VERY NICE!

The second idea was to fold some ribbon and adhere it in such a way that it makes a wreath. This is easily embellished with some jewels to make it really stand out. Sorry, the picture doesn't do it justice. If you happen to come across this technique online, please share the link with us. I tried to take a copy of the article out of Adriana's magazine.
